Chinese-Owned Moto Morini Releases Black Ebony Edition of X-Cape 650 Adventure Bike

Italian motorcycle brand Moto Morini, now under Chinese ownership, has been making waves in the market with its new models. One of its most popular offerings is the X-Cape 650, a middleweight adventure bike. To enhance its appeal, Moto Morini has introduced a Black Ebony edition of the adventure-tourer.

In the middleweight ADV segment, competitors like the Yamaha Tenere 700, Aprilia Tuareg 660, and KTM 890 Adventure dominate the market. Moto Morini's X-Cape 650, while using a slightly dated architecture, holds its own. It is equipped with a 650cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine that produces 60 horsepower.

The X-Cape comes with modern technology, including a Brembo braking system with Bosch ABS that can be switched on and off depending on the terrain. It also features a fully adjustable Marzocchi fork and rear monoshock for suspension, as well as wire-spoked wheels with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires for traction on various terrains.

For touring convenience, the X-Cape has a large adjustable windshield and a full-color seven-inch display with a tire pressure monitoring system and Bluetooth smartphone pairing. Riders can also access navigation apps through a proprietary app that allows screen mirroring.

The 2024 Moto Morini X-Cape Black Ebony edition stands out with its all-black color scheme and gray accent highlighted by a red stripe. Optional accessories are available for customization, including crash protection and luggage accessories.

The Black Ebony edition of the X-Cape 650 is available through Moto Morini's dealership network in Europe. Pricing information is not listed on the website, but the standard X-Cape 650 is priced at 7,290 euros or approximately $7,877 USD. In the US, it has an MSRP of $7,999 USD, but is currently on sale for $6,999. For more information, interested buyers in the US can contact their nearest dealer or visit the official US website of Moto Morini.
