Hero MotoCorp Launches the Hero Mavrick 440 in India

In July 2023, Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson introduced the Harley-Davidson X440 in India, which quickly gained global and regional popularity. Pre-bookings for the X440 filled up rapidly, with customers eager to secure their own bikes.

Despite subsequent price increases, fans remained committed to the X440, even though Hero had plans to develop a Hero-branded bike using the same TorqX engine. Hero, known for producing motorcycles that people want to ride, faced high expectations for their new Hero Mavrick 440.

The Hero Mavrick 440 is equipped with the same 440cc TorqX single-cylinder engine found in the Harley-Davidson X440. It boasts a claimed 27 brake horsepower and 36 newton-meters of torque. The bike features a trellis frame, nonadjustable telescopic front fork, twin rear shocks, and disc brakes. The fuel tank capacity is 13.5 liters.

The Mavrick 440's dimensions include a wheelbase of 1,388mm, length of 2,100mm, width of 868mm, height of 1,112mm, ground clearance of 175mm, and seat height of 803mm. The curb weight varies depending on the wheel option chosen, with the alloy version weighing 187 kilograms and the spoked version weighing 191 kilograms.

While the Mavrick 440 was unveiled on January 23, 2024, Hero MotoCorp has not yet announced the opening of bookings or official pricing information. Interested individuals can fill out a form on the Hero MotoCorp website to receive more information.
